Pump Station Site Work
Pump stations, or lift stations, are facilities designed to move wastewater or sewage from a lower elevation to a higher one. Lift stations collect and pump the waste up to the higher elevated sewer line. The pump is triggered by floats that turn on the pump much the same way as the float in your toilet turns off the water in your tank. For example, when sewage enters the sewer line and needs to move to a sewage treatment plant that is at a higher elevation the pump station will lift the sewage to a certain height above the facility where gravity can take over. Lift station equipment and systems are often installed in an enclosed structure. Louisa Construction Company offers the site work for pump station installations, so the land can properly be prepared for the pump station to be put in place.
